Hello everyone.

I am Daniel Scroope. I am currently in my last semester at the university of canberra studying a bachelors of coaching and exercise science. I am doing this full time but have moved back to Wagga Wagga in NSW because of an internship that I am doing with AFL NSW/ACT in Wagga. So far I have been struggling a little bit with uni semester  with the change of moving as I haven't been able to attend many classes but finding this a good subject because of the great online experience.

I have started my internship with AFL and it has been very interesting and I have been trying to take my experiences from university and put it them into practice although a big part of what I have been doing is promoting AUS kick in the area and helping with kids coaching clinics. But this week will bring a change and a challenge to me because they have asked me to give a half an hour talk on strength and conditioning at a level 1 coaching course for AFL and give the new coaches something interesting and new to think about and use. This is where last weeks topic of planning will be taken on board and expressed to those whom im presenting to with many other key areas also being spoken about but am yet to finish preparing.

A little bit about myself although I am studying i also work at the Wagga airport for Rex, then try and do as many hours at my internship as possible and have been offered a third job as a development officer for Wagga touch football which I will take if I can find the time. So as you may have guessed I play touch football and am preparing for the nationals which are ever approaching in mid march and trying to find time to train has been a bit hard of recent times. I also like to play golf in my spare time but have been struggling to find enough of that recently.

I know this was a bit of a slow start for this blogging but it's hard working out what's going on when I can't attend all classes. Anyway for this week I am helping out with the NAB cup game in Wagga this weekend where the GWS are playing Brisbane Lions and I will be doing this strength and conditioning speech which is a bit daunting for me. But wish me luck and ill let you all know how it goes.
